In a few days we will celebrate Easter and of course Istria has its own customs associated with it. For example, natural ingredients are often used to dye eggs, such as onion skins. Traditionally, the Easter "Pinca" is baked in a wood-fired oven, a sweet bread with raisins, which is usually additionally decorated with olive branches or olive leaves. Egg dishes with wild asparagus and ham prepared in olive oil are also on the menu. Even if the people love to enjoy the traditional, good food, what is most important is the family gathering and celebrating Easter together. With this in mind, we wish you a happy Easter and a lovely stay in Istria!
