With the beginning of this year, two important things changed in Croatia: Firstly, the old croatian currency kuna was replaced by the euro, so for guests from euro-countries there is no need to exchange money any more and price comparisons are also easier. Secondly, Croatia has joined the Schengen area; border controls when entering or leaving are now a thing of the past and you can get to your destination faster.
